| USAF Negative Number: 81997 AC NASM Videodisc Number: 4A?25960 AIRPLANES: FORMATIONS, LOCKHEED Precision flying is exhibited by this flight of F?80 "Shooting Stars" of the Eight Fighter Bomber Wing as it returned to a forward airstrip in Korea from close air support strikes on "Siberia" and "Bunker" hill areas last week. Ground fighting in these areas has been particularly heavy recently, and air strikes have daily supported UN forces in their successful ground engagements to retain possession of these strategic battleline points. These jet fighter bombers returned to their base shortly after this photograph was taken, reloaded their bomb racks, rocket launchers and machine guns, and returned to fly further strikes against the hard?hit Red positions.
